Burlington Baby Bassinet Combo with Baskets, White

i purchased two of these because i was having twins. these are especially great because they are versatile/unisex. the interchangeable ribbons were an added bonus for me because for the longest time i couldn’t get a definite answer as to what sex my twins were going to be. i had a boy and a girl. the burlington bassinets were exactly what i needed. i was able to use both blue and pink ribbons. they are lightweight yet sturdy. easy to assemble- no need for tools. simple yet attractive and the two baskets you get (also with interchangeable covers or liners, depends on how you use them) are quite roomy. plenty of space in them for several blankets or whatever. i also liked the fact that you can lock the casters in place or turn them in so you can rock your baby. these aren’t the fanciest bassinets out there, they don’t have all the bells and whistles- but they do what they’re supposed to do. besides, your baby won’t sleep in them forever. i used mine for less than two months. i recommend these if you aren’t the particular type. but i have to tell you that i’ve seen the prices for these vary from store to store big time so i suggest shopping around and doing some research. i personally paid about $35 for each of mine at a miltary exchange store but there’s a popular superstore with a website you can purchase these from close to that price.

Obviously this isn’t the highest end bassinet out there, but for the price it is good. It is made of very lightweight materials and is easy to move around the house. We bought this for our second child and it is working well. We had planned on buying something better, but he decided to arrive early and this bassinet was in stock at the local store so we went with it. It isn’t something that is going to last through generations and possibly not even multiple children, but for the price (we only paid $50) it is good.

I liked the price (got it for $55 on a sale) and the fact that you could interchange the blue and pink cloth trim. Also like the fact that it had wheels so you could theoretically roll it. I say “theoretically” because on heavy carpet, it didn’t roll very well. It is made rather cheaply with a basic cardboard-type material composing the majority of the walls and hood. It was very clean and nice-looking, but it was rather cheap looking. The mattress was very thin and we ended up buying another one to give her a little more padding.
It did serve its purpose — giving our daughter a bed for about six weeks. It seemed safe, secure, and gave her that “swaddled” feeling because the sleeping quarters were so much smaller than a crib. I am still using the baskets, which were a nice touch.
Buy it again? For $55, yeah. For $89? No way.

This bassinet is very nice. It was better than I had hoped for and a plus that it can be used for a boy or a girl because it comes with both pink and blue ribbons to change as needed. With the rollers you can move it very easily from one room to another or you can flip them up and the bassinet rocks like a cradle. I would recommend this product to anyone looking for a bassinet or cradle.

This has worked out perfect for us so far. Baby sleeps comfortably, we use the baskets below to store extra sheets, and it’s lightweight and super portable. One of our best baby purchases so far. It is basically cheap plastic and cardboard, but is very sturdy and a great value (We ordered from Walmart – $48.00).
